Can anyone explain (or at least take a stab at) the mentality of
people who insist on crossposting trolls?

Is it, as many believe, simply a cry for help from an socially
inadequate, friendless person who seeks attention, or is it just an
act of malice from someone with psychopathic tendencies who wishes
to control?

Or something else...???

As a first year Psychology student, Id really, really would like to
hear peoples opinions on this matter.

Unless Im very much mistaken,

Trolls crosspost to some groups to get a wider audience for their posts and
attract more replies. They often crosspost to particular groups to attract
replies from particular people (usually other trolls) whom they know are
reading the group.

The trolls crosspost to other groups to flood them with off-topic posts. The
commonest targets are groups to which netkkkops, k00ks or cliques are known
to be posting, as they are the favourite targets of trolls.
